FAQ

  • Can we customise our wedding?

Yes all weddings can be customised but include the vows, ring exchange and pronouncement, but you can add any readings music and your own personal love story or any little touches you want, for example sand ceremony, jumping the broom, time capsule, plus many more.

  • What are the most popular dates to get married?

Weekends are always the most popular wedding dates, and bank holidays tend to book up quickly. But for the style of ceremonies I create, I also see a lot of interest in the more unconventional dates, like Friday the 13th, Celtic festival days, and of course, Halloween. My couples often love adding a touch of magic or a little quirk to their date choice.

  • What days of the week can we get married?

I can legally marry you 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

  • Can you legally marry us?

Yes I can! But to be legally married in Ireland, everybody must register their intention to get married with the HSE at least three months in advance of your marriage. You will be given a marriage "licence" (green folder) which you must bring with you on your wedding day.

Your license will then be signed with me on your wedding day along with your two witnesses.

The folder must then be returned by you to the HSE registry office within 30 days and you will then obtain your marriage certificate. This is your responsibility not your solemniser.

  • Can we get married without doing the legal part?

Yes, you can have your wedding ceremony or commitment ceremony without the legal element. A lot of couples choose to do this for personal reasons.

  • What does the celebrant wear?

I will be dressed smartly but discreetly no robes or special attire.

  • Do we need to do a pre-marriage course?

No, you’re not required to do any course if you’re getting married by a celebrant or solemniser. However, you will need to register your intent to wed with the HSE if you want to be legally married.

  • Can children be part of our ceremony?

Of course, happy to involve all family members on the day. We can talk about this when planning your ceremony.

  • Can our fur-baby be part of the ceremony?

I have no problem including your pets, I am an animal lover myself, but you will need to check with your venue.

  • Can we get married outside?

Yes you can, but to be legally married you must follow the legal requirements.
